Counseling

Contact a student counselor for needs related to your child's social, emotional, or academic well being. Students are assigned counselors alphabetically based on their last name; they may, however, work with any counselor of their choice.  Student counselors are trained to help with personal problems or any issues that may arise at school, and will serve as a support system, both emotionally and academically, until a student leaves Mesa High School.

As the 2024-2025 school year begins, if you feel your student needs a schedule change, please review this information.

Parents

If the school year is underway and your question or concern is regarding a particular class, teacher, or student, you need to contact the teacher(s) first.  You can find our teacher’s e-mails and phone numbers on our staff page.

We also encourage you to use the MPS Parent Portal to monitor your student's grades, attendance and other education-related information. If you need a My MPS account, please visit our Attendance office to pick up your activation key.

For making appointments or any other questions, please contact our secretary at 480-472-5731.

Grading Policy

All courses taught for credit receive a letter or a pass/fail grade.  Final examinations may not count for more than  20 percent of the final grades.
